WOOLWICH Youth FC's under-16s team are celebrating a league and cup double in their debut campaign in the Bexley A League.
The boys won promotion from the B League as runners-up last season and they made sure they were prepared for the step up by signing four new players.
A summer of hard training at Hornfair Park paid off for Woolwich as they went on an unbeaten league and cup run until Christmas under the guidance of manager Gary Stark and coach Andrew Kenny.
The league crown was secured as the boys finished the season with 15 wins, two draws and a solitary defeat.
A memorable campaign was rounded off when Woolwich beat Kingfisher 4-1 in the cup final to secure the double.
