TONY Burman is delighted his table-topping Dartford side have finally started to make their dominance count in league matches.

The Princes Park outfit lead the way in the Ryman Division One North after going goal crazy in their last two home games.

Witham were hit for seven last Tuesday and Dartford almost matched their earlier efforts when they posted six against Enfield on Saturday.

Last weekend's 6-1 victory was even more pleasing for the manager as five different players added their names to the scoresheet.

Burman said: "It was a good performance against Witham, but against Enfield it was even better.

"Being 4-0 up at half-time finished the game off and I thought we were excellent for 70 minutes.

"The first four goals came from set plays, but the build-up to those set pieces was absolutely fantastic.

"I'm also happy because the goals have been spread around the team and it all bodes well for the future."

The two victories have lifted Dartford to the league's summit and Burman is hoping their goal frenzy will continue.

He said: "We haven't always found the back of the net despite creating chances and I'm pleased we have gone some way to putting it right.

"The game we lost 2-1 against Bury is a classic example because we could easily have had four or five on the day."

Dartford's winning run continued last night with a straightforward 3-0 home success against Whitstable in the League Cup with the goals coming courtesy of Yohance Lewis (2) and Tom Bradbrook.

Burman used the game to give some of his fringe players a run out and was happy with the display.

He explained: "We started very well when Yohance scored from 25 yards after about eight minutes.

"I played everyone who has been on the bench recently together with some of our under-21 players and they all did very well.

"It was also a chance for John Guest to have 45 minutes of football and we await to see in the coming days if there was any reaction to his injury."

Guest is not expected to feature in Saturday's game at Brentwood and neither will Junior Kadi or Brad Potter.

Burman is expecting a tough game in Essex, but feels his in-form side have enough about them to come away with a positive result.

He said: "Brentwood have done very well since winning promotion to this division and have only lost twice this season, so it certainly will not be easy.

"However, if we are to go and get promotion, then it is exactly the kind of place we need to go to and get a result - and I believe we can."
