The Hotshots are nearly home and dry in the premier division of the South London & Kent Pool Alliance.

Their 11-4 home victory against the Beehive coupled with the Jolly Fenman’s loss at home to the Pickwick means that barring a major slip up they’ll be lifting the crown as league champions in a few weeks time.

The Fenman’s George Covington did all he called to thwart the Pickwick, but the third placed team picked up the necessary frames to win away 8-7.

George IV kept the pressure on in fourth with a 9-6 win against the Coach & Horses, who now slip to bottom of the table after yet another impressive win by the Summerfield.

After escaping relegation on the final game of last season the Summerfield are attempting to pull it off again.

This week they overcame Woolwich Catholic Club 10-5 in a big relegation match, and now sit just 3 points behind them.

The Fox Under The Hill keep themselves just out of the drop zone with an 8-7 victory against Riley’s.

In the first division the Kings Arms got back to winning ways with Geoff Evans, Jamie Kay and Nick Grindley all doing the business as they demolished Gallies 13-2 to lead the pack by 4 points.

King William IV are chasing hard in second with a 9-6 away win at fourth placed Bellegrove Social Club, and the Blue Anchor aren’t giving up the contest to get promoted just yet.

An 11-4 win against the Angerstein Hotel see’s them close the gap on second to 8 points with two matches to go.

The Eagle Tavern and Lee Green Constitutional Club enjoyed 15 frames of “no pressure pool”, with the captain of the Eagle Richard Hatch saying “it was a pleasure to play at the Constitutional Club, a nice venue with nice people” The former ran out 11-4 winners.

In the reserve division Our Lady of the Rosary were big winners over Fanny On The Hill, and appear to be opening up a gap at the top.
