Stoke City forward Marko Arnautovic reportedly wants a salary of around £80,000-a-week which could deter Crystal Palace from launching a move.
The Austria international, currently in France for Euro 2016, has emerged as a target for Palace who are keen to bolster their attacking options this summer.
The 27-year-old has a £12.5m buyout clause written into his contract at Stoke and could be set for a summer switch.
However, the Daily Mail say the forward, who scored 12 goals last season, is looking for a lucrative salary in the region of £80,000-a-week.
It is claimed the figure may rule Palace out of the race for his signature with Everton also linked with a move.
Arnautovic played 90 minutes in Austria’s opening fixture of Euro 2016 as Hungary sealed a surprise 2-0 win in Bordeaux.
The former Werder Bremen star has scored 16 league goals for the Potters since arriving in England in September 2013.
