Two late Charlton goals ensured the Addicks beat Fulham Under-21s 3-2 in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Joe Dodoo equalised in the 89th minute before Joe Aribo scored the winner just two minutes later.

Ben Reeves cancelled out Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson’s early strike, and Cameron Thompson’s second-half goal looked to be enough to hand Fulham the win.

However, the hosts showed fantastic character to come from behind in front of the lowest ever crowd at the Valley.

Only 741 fans came out to watch this low-key affair on a cold and bitter evening in SE7 - beating the previous record of 817.

Here is how News Shopper rated Charlton’s  players

Dillon Phillips - 7 - Made an important save when Charlton were 1-0 down and was dominant with crosses.

Aaron Barnes - 6 - Allowed Thorsteinsson to cut in and shoot for the opener, but didn't put a foot wrong after that.

Anfernee Dijksteel - 5 - Had a few shaky moments in the game, and struggled with Thompson’s pace in the second-half.

Jo Cummings - 7 - A solid debut from the defender.

Jamie Mascoll - 8 - Like his fellow academy star Cummings, Mascoll was impressive in his senior bow. Always offered a threat down the left side.

Johnnie Jackson - 6 - The beloved captain was a calming presence in the middle of the park.

Joe Aribo - 8 - He was a powerful force in midfield and linked the attacking play well. A very good goal to net the winner. Man of the match.

Mark Marshall - 7 - Looked menacing on the right wing and put in some dangerous crosses.

Ben Reeves - 6 - Had some nice touches in the final third and showed good composure for his goal. He’s only going to get better.

Karlan Ahearne-Grant - 7 - He was always trying to make something happen and troubled Fulham with his pace and dribbling.

Joe Dodoo - 6 - Scored a very crucial goal for 2-2 but failed to impress in his first start for the club. He was often bullied off the ball by Fulham’s centre-halves. With that said, a goal is a goal and it’ll do his confidence the world of good.
