TEN points from a possible 12 is promotion form, yet somehow Millwall still find themselves in the bottom four.

It was the kind of performance which bodes well for the rest of the season, while it wasn't the finished article, there was plenty of tenacity and hunger on display.

A few weeks ago many were bemoaning Spackman's purchases as a load of Forrest Gumps' - players who had pace but who lacked any kind of desire or, in some cases, even skill to compete in League One.

Now, some of them are bearing fruit with Hackett in particular the best of a group of players who are showing signs of gelling.

Hackett's performance was the kind we have been in desperate need of this year.

He was far more than just an out-and-out winger against Bournemouth he also managed where so many have failed by getting in the all important cross at the end of it.

If it wasn't enough he also tracked back when required, put the boot in and to top it all scored what turned out to be the winning goal.

Hubertz too put in a workhorse like performance and did everything but score.

The Dane was everywhere and anywhere there was a ball to chase and was a shining example to his young partner in crime up front, the teenage star-in-waiting Danny Haynes.

And with Byfield due back in the next few weeks and May penciled in for a December comeback, the Lions' strikeforce suddenly looks quite potent.

Chuck Jody Morris into the equation as well and we have, on paper at least, a side that is more than capable of making up the 7 point gap between 21st spot and a play-off berth.
