CHRIS Solly last Friday signed a new contract to keep him at Charlton until 2014 in the same week he learned that he was on the long list of Great Britain football team manager Stuart Pearce for this summer’s Olympic Games.

The right-back is one of 191 names on Pearce’s initial list, which will next be shortened in March.
