LIVERPOOL’S Nathan Eccleston is one of five players to leave Charlton after their loan spells at The Valley came to an end following Saturday’s final match of the season against Hartlepool United.

Frank Nouble (West Ham), Federico Bessone (Leeds), Dean Parrett (Spurs) and John Sullivan (Millwall) have also returned to their parent clubs.

However, the Lions quickly confirmed Sullivan would not be offered new terms at The Den, making the keeper a free agent this summer.

JOSE Semedo was re-presented with Charlton’s 2010/11 player of the year award before kick-off against Hartlepool United last Saturday after winning the fans’ prize the previous Sunday.

The midfielder claimed 43 per cent of the poll, ahead of runner-up Johnnie Jackson and third-placed Rob Elliot. Callum Harriott, who made his full debut for the club against Pools, was named young player of the year by the club’s management team.

CHARLTON have lined up five friendlies and a brief trip to Spain ahead of the 2011/12 campaign.

The Addicks will start at Welling United’s Park View Road on July 9 (3pm) and will also travel to Aldershot Town on July 20 (7.45pm) and Woking on July 23 (3pm).

A home game against Reading will follow on July 26 (7.45pm) before another away date against Millwall on July 30 (3pm).

The players will go to Spain from July 10 to July 17 but no fixtures during the trip have been confirmed.

WITH the seats of 2010/11 season-ticket holders being held until June 30, Addicks fans have plenty of time to secure their place at The Valley next term.

Season tickets are on sale, with adult tickets available from £265, U18 places £75 and all U11s just £49.

Tickets can be purchased from the Valley commercial centre or by calling 0871 226 1905.

Fans can renew online via and application forms can also be downloaded from the club’s website.

THE Charlton women’s team were crowned champions of the Premier League Southern Division on Sunday – even though the Addicks weren’t in action.

Rivals Cardiff City, needing to record a 14-goal or better success against Keynsham Town to pip Charlton to the top spot, could only manage a 2-0 win, so Paul Mortimer’s side, who paraded the trophy at The Valley the previous day, so confident were they of success, ended the season at the summit.

The Addicks will compete in the Premier League National Division next term.

CHARLTON have confirmed the club will launch a new away kit this summer, but the Addicks will continue to wear the existing home kit, and the blue second strip from 2010/11 will be used as a third option next term.

A series of bargains are currently available in the Valley Superstore and online via, including adult and junior tracksuits, which have been reduced to just £25 – less than half-price for adults.

THERE are only three weeks to go until this summer’s Celebrity Soccer Six football tournament at The Valley on Bank Holiday Monday and tickets remain on sale.

N-Dubz, Shayne Ward, winner of The X Factor in 2005, boyband Blue, rock band The Darkness and a host of actors from EastEnders and Waterloo Road are already confirmed on the bill – and many more famous names will follow.

Admission is £12 adults and £8 U12s, with family tickets (two adults and three U12s) £40.

Tickets are available on 0871 226 1905.

THE VALLEY commercial centre switched to its summer opening hours at the start of the week and will no longer open on Saturdays until swap week begins on July 2.

The commercial centre will continue to operate from 9am-5pm weekdays.

CHARLTON will be seeking success on five fronts next season after the club confirmed it would enter the 2011/12 Kent Senior Cup.

The Addicks will also be gunning for success in League One, the FA Cup, the Carling Cup and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy next term.
