STEVE Morison struck a 76th minute winner as Millwall came from behind to beat Ipswich at The Den.

Tamas Priskin had put the Tractor Boys in front in the 25th minute but Danny Schofield drew the Lions level on the stroke of half-time before Morison settled the game in the home side's favour after the break.

An injury crisis force Kenny Jackett to make several changes to the side beaten 4-1 by Birmingham in the FA Cup seven days ago.

Darren Ward came in for the injured Danny Shittu, while Alan Dunne started in central midfield in place of Tamika Mkandawire, who was also ruled out through injury.

Tony Craig was forced to move from left back to central defence and Schofield started on the left wing.

Kevin Lisbie, who came on as a sub against Birmingham, was ineligible to play in this fixture as part of the loan deal from parent club Ipswich.

It was on the bench Millwall's injury problems were really highlighted, as the Lions were forced to hand young midfielder Jake Gallagher the number 33 shirt yesterday just to make up the numbers for today's game.

But the good news for Lions fans was the inclusion of Theo Robinson among the substitutes after the striker completed a permanent switch to The Den from Huddersfield on Thursday.

Ipswich's new manager Paul Jewell unsurprisingly made no alterations to the starting XI which enjoyed an impressive 1-0 Carling Cup semi-final first leg triumph over Arsenal in midweek.

Morison had words with Darren O'Dea after the two clashed following a second minute header from the Lions striker.

Dunne really should have done better 60 seconds later when he blazed over from just inside the area after good work from Morison, while Millwall's top scorer headed just wide three minutes later as the hosts began brightly.

O'Dea was forced to head behind Henry's 21st minute corner at the expense of a corner but the Lions were unable to capitalise from the flag-kick and the danger was cleared.

Henry cleverly created space for himself to line up a 30 yard shot, which was well blocked by an Ipswich defender.

But it was the visitors who took the lead with their first real chance of the game on 25 minutes when Priskin latched onto a Carlos Edwards pass and ran into the area before placing a low shot from an acute angle beyond the reach of David Forde.

The Lions came close to drawing level three minutes later but Morison's volley from Jack Scott Barron's corner only found the side-netting.

Ipswich keeper Marton Fulop was caught on the back-foot on 35 minutes and forced to push behind Henry's cross for a corner.

Ipswich should have doubled their advantage two minutes later when Jaime Peters' cross-shot came back off the bar and Priskin fired the loose ball over from close range.

Millwall immediately went on the attack as Forde set Morison through on goal but his volley was deflected off a defender and then pushed behind by Fulop.

Neil Harris headed over the bar four minutes before the break but the Lions were back on terms on the stroke of half-time as Schofield fired a low drive from 18-yards past Fulop.

But how they didn't go in ahead was a huge talking point at the interval as Morison inexplicably blazed a shot wildly over the bar from six-yards after being picked out by strike partner Harris' cross.

There was one change for Millwall at the start of the second half as Craig made way for Chris Hackett.

Barron produced the first real chance of the second period on 52 minutes when his free-kick from 25 yards was punched away by Fulop.

Schofield placed a low shot straight at the Ipswich keeper on the hour, while Morison and Hackett were both only denied shots on goal by two crucial blocks two minutes later.

Connor Wickham was unfortunate not to apply a touch on Colin Healy's 68th minute cross before Millwall made their second change three minutes later, with Theo Robinson introduced for Harris.

Schofield fired wide from a decent position but the Lions' hard work was finally rewarded in the 76th minute when Morison connected with Hackett's delivery before shooting into the back of the net from close range.

Hackett's 81st minute 30 yard shot lacked power and conviction, producing Fulop's easiest save of the game.

Forde came to the home side's rescue at the other end six minutes later, getting down low to deny Gareth McAuley and the keeper made another fine stop from Jason Scotland in stoppage time as the Lions held on for the three points.
