KENNY Jackett is hoping it will be a case of third time lucky when his injury-hit Millwall side take on Ipswich at The Den.

The Tractor Boys have already made one successful trip to the ground this season, enjoying a 2-1 Carling Cup victory in September.

That was followed by a 2-0 league triumph over the Lions at Portman Road the following month and Ipswich go into this weekend’s encounter with a new manager in Paul Jewell and on the back of a 1-0 Carling Cup semi-final win over Arsenal.

“I expect the new manager will give them a lift, which they got on Wednesday against Arsenal,” JacketT said.

“Ipswich have a very capable group of players and we know that, with some very talented forwards.

“We’ve played them twice already and are looking to get one back on them because we want to beat Ipswich during the course of this season.”

Paul Robinson, Danny Shittu, Tamika Mkandawire, Liam Trotter and Josh McQuoid will all miss the game through injury.

And Jackett’s selection headache is hardly helped by Ipswich loanee Kevin Lisbie being unable to play against his parent club, with the Millwall manager confirming Jewell could in theory take him back to Portman Road this month.

“I think Ipswich can call him back during the course of the transfer window,” he said.

“Kevin can’t play on Saturday because they are his parent club, although he has been back out training for two weeks and played 25 minutes last week.”
