JOHNNIE Jackson’s loan spell at Charlton is over after the Notts County player was ruled out for six weeks with a torn hamstring.

Manager Phil Parkinson had hoped to extend Jackson’s stay at The Valley before the defender suffered the injury in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Stockport.

That is now definitely off the agenda and Parkinson claims he won’t be looking for a replacement loan signing.

He said: “Johnnie Jackson is out for six weeks. His loan was up on Saturday anyway but unfortunately his injury was a bit worse than we first feared.

“We’ve got a few options within the squad, so we will probably go with what we’ve got.

“Kelly Youga is back in training and has put himself up to be available.

“We will assess everybody tomorrow in training.”

In other news, Parkinson confirmed Elliot Omozusi has left the club and Swindon Town have failed to follow up their initial interest in Yassin Moutaouakil.

Parkinson also denied suggestions Moutaouakil wasn’t being selected because Charlton would have to pay out more money were he to play for the first team again.

“That isn’t true,” the Addicks chief added.
