PHIL Parkinson revealed on Saturday Charlton had received no bids for China captain Zheng Zhi during the January transfer window, which closes at midnight next Monday.

“There were a couple of enquiries for him in the summer, but obviously because ZiZi has been out of action for so long we haven’t had too many enquiries this month as people are concerned about his fitness,” said the Addicks boss.

“There have been no bids (in January) although he’s fine now, and is back running.”

SKIPPER Mark Hudson will face a race to be fit in time for tomorrow night’s derby clash with Crystal Palace at The Valley.

The defender sustained an ankle injury as Charlton exited the FA Cup at the hands of Sheffield United on Saturday.

There was some good news for Phil Parkinson at Bramall Lane, however, as midfielder Therry Racon made his comeback following a knee injury.

PHIL Parkinson complained about referees not awarding Charlton penalties following his side’s defeat to Sheffield United on Saturday.

“I’m not sure if the referees have got together and said Charlton are not allowed penalties,” he said.

“I’ve lost count of the number of times, even since I’ve been in charge, that there have been incidents in the box.

“I’m just waiting for one referee to put his whistle in his mouth and give us one.”

Meanwhile, Parkinson faces no further action after being sent to the stands during the match against Queens Park Rangers on Boxing Day.
