CHARLTON last week assumed a new ambassadorial role to try and make a greater London.

The Addicks are the only football club to be involved in the London Leaders programme, which will see the club work to address and improve the capital’s image.

Charlton chief executive Steve Waggott said: “Our slogan concerning our social responsibility work has always been “More than a football club”, and we take our iconic position within the community seriously, so this is great news.”

The midfielder has played just two matches this season.

However, striker Izale McLeod returned to action as the reserves lost 3-2 to Gillingham at Stonebridge Road on October 13, scoring after entering the pitch for the final 27 minutes.
