Bromley manager Andy Woodman has left the club with immediate effect after more than five years in charge, following a difficult start to life in League One.

The Ravens announced today (October 22) that Woodman would leave immediately after a "mutual termination" of his contract.

Byron Webster will take charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis while the club searches for a permanent replacement.

Woodman leaves after overseeing Bromley's most successful period, taking the club from non-league into League One and winning three trophies along the way.

But the Ravens have endured a difficult start to their first campaign in the third tier, winning just two of their opening 10 league games.

They sit 23rd in League One with eight points, one point above bottom side Wigan Athletic, and have conceded an EFL-high 25 goals.

Bromley owner and chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves said: “I would firstly like to offer my sincere thanks to Andy for all he has achieved during his time with us.

“It’s no surprise that this club has reached new heights and Andy has been fundamental in helping us achieve that.

“I would like to reassure our supporters that we will be entering this new chapter with the same ambition and determination to keep moving this football club forward.

“On a personal note, Andy has been a pleasure to work with, and I wish him all the best for the future.”

Woodman joined Bromley in 2021 in what was his first managerial role and quickly began a period of unprecedented success at Hayes Lane.

He guided the club to FA Trophy glory in his first full season before later taking Bromley into the Football League for the first time in the club’s 132-year history through the National League play-offs.

Bromley then continued their rise under Woodman by winning the League Two title last season to secure promotion to League One.

Woodman was subsequently named League Two Manager of the Year for the 2025/26 season.

He leaves having won 123 of his 289 matches in charge, giving him a win rate of 42.6 per cent.

The club said Woodman leaves with its “deepest gratitude”, three trophies and the best wishes of everyone at Bromley.

Webster will now take temporary charge, with Peterborough United due to visit Hayes Lane on Saturday.
