Constitution Hill has been raised 7lb to an official rating of 108 after his fourth-place finish in the September Stakes at Kempton at the weekend.

The nine-year-old finished five and three-quarter lengths behind Pride Of Arras in the Group Three with the winner given a 3lb uplift to a new mark of 117.

Nicky Henderson’s 2023 Champion Hurdle victor lost his unbeaten record on the Flat but it was a significant step up in grade.

The Michael Buckley-owned gelding had arrived at Kempton with the Melbourne Cup a tantalising option for the autumn, but Henderson will now return to the drawing board.
