Bromley's 100th-minute equaliser from George Evans kept them well on track for a promotion to League One by securing a 2-2 draw at Barnet. It was an absolutely huge moment in the Ravens' season, who had already taken the lead thanks to Nickie Kabamba in the first half.
The Bees were stung in the 12th minute by someone they used to call their own, Kabamba, held off the defenders with some brilliant strength before swivelling and firing his effort, which found its way past Cieran Slicker via a deflection off the Barnet defender.
Barnet almost levelled matters within no time when Kabongo Tshimanga took advantage of a slip from the Bromley backline and drove at the backline. He laid the ball on a plate to Mark Shelton, but Grant Smith made himself big and smothered the effort to spare the blushes of his defence.
The Bees found their equaliser just a couple of minutes later, Chinedu fired into the top right corner from the angle to reignite the home support. They almost took the lead just moments later, Smith having to claw the ball away from his top corner to deny a header from Adam Senior.
The opening 23 minutes were end-to-end, and Bromley almost took advantage of a lack of communication from the Barnet backline, but Kabamba was unable to finish from the angle.
Barnet had the first big moment of the second half, Ryan Glover unable to get enough dip on his free kick from 20 yards, though Smith was required to tip it over the bar.
The Bees were on top in the opening stages of the final 45, and edged ever closer to the lead with Nnamdi Ofoborh forcing another key save from Grant Smith.
Despite controlling the second half, disaster struck for Barnet when their captain, Danny Collinge, was sent off for violent conduct on Omar Sowunmi. The Bromley fans sensed a big opportunity for their side here, having dealt with all kinds of pressure on their goal since halftime.
That was until Kyle Cameron gave away a penalty for a pull on Tshimanga. There were arguments from the Barnet players about whether the card should have been red for DOGSO.
The forward then buried the spot kick into the bottom right corner to give Barnet the lead with 13 minutes to play.
Bromley were having to push for that crucial equaliser, which allowed for space in behind the backline for Barnet to try and finish the game off.
Andy Woodman's side had 10 minutes of added time to find at least a leveller. Sowunmi came close with a half volley that deflected just past the left-hand post, though Barnet were not sitting back and holding on, Smith being required to prevent Oliver Hawkins from making it 3-1.
Bromley had one final roll of the dice, one final long throw. The ball was flicked on by Sowunmi and crashed into the back of the net by George Evans, who had only been on the pitch for about a minute. They'd rolled the dice, and the right numbers had come up.
The away dugout and away end erupted into a state of unbridled joy because they knew how crucial a moment that was in their season.
That moment from Evans shows the signs of a team that wants to go all the way, looking lost for ideas, and the youngster comes off the bench to secure what could end up being an incredibly vital point in the next four weeks.
