Barrow come from behind to grab three points against Bromley

The two teams, who last faced off in November at the CopperJax Community Stadium, met again, with Bromley winning the previous encounter 2-1.

The match started with windy conditions, making it difficult for both sides to establish a clear game plan, resulting in limited chances at both ends of the pitch.

The first major opportunity came in the 25th minute when Bromley's Marcus Ifill nearly scored with a wind-assisted cross, which was controversially ruled as saved by Barrow's Wyll Stanway, despite appeals from Bromley that it had crossed the line.

In the 35th minute, Bromley's Ashley Charles took advantage of a free-kick opportunity, following a yellow card offence by Barrow's Rekeem Harper, and scored with a curling strike into the top right corner. This goal gave Bromley a 1-0 lead going into half-time.

Three minutes into the second half, Nicke Kabamba came close to doubling Bromley's lead, but his shot was saved by Stanway. Barrow equalised in the 56th minute, with a well-crafted attack by Connor Mahoney, whose cross was headed in by Josh Gordon.

Around the hour mark, Bromley made a double substitution, with Jude Arthurs replacing Will Hondermarck, and academy player George Evans making his league debut, replacing Marcus Dinanga. However, Barrow turned the tables on Bromley just minutes later, with Danny Rose scoring from inside the penalty area, making it 2-1.

Barrow had a chance to extend their lead 15 minutes from time, but Josh Gordon's attempted cross to an open Connor Mahoney was intercepted by Omar Sowunmi. Despite their efforts, Bromley could not find an equaliser, and the match ended in a 2-1 defeat.

The match was attended by 2,303 spectators, including 149 Bromley fans who made the journey. Bromley will now prepare to face Barnet at the Hive on Friday.
