A pair of goals in a seven minute period from Bromley centre halves Deji Elerewe and Omar Sowunmi secured the Ravens' first home win since August and just their second in the last eight games.
The two teams came into this fixture at Hayes Lane in conflicting form, Bromley had won just a single game in their last five League Two games, securing five points out of a possible 15. Meanwhile for MK Dons, they were in spectacular form with four wins in a row and 12 points out of 15.
What was a positive for Bromley though was that they are unbeaten across their last nine home league games (W5 D4), although each of their last three have finished in score draws. MK Dons are winless across their last six league games against sides from London (D3 L3), since a 3-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon in January 2024.
This is the fifth time that MK Dons have won 24 or more points through their opening 13 games of a Football League season, with three of those prior four campaigns eventually ending in promotion (2007-08, 2014-15, 2018-19).
In terms of lineups, Bromley made five changes from last week's 2-1 defeat away at Cambridge United, with Grant Smith, Deji Elerewe, Marcus Ifill, Will Hondermarck and Nickie Kabamba coming into start.

MK Dons took the lead on five minutes when Nathaniel Mendez-Lang charged down the left wing and crossed a ball to Rushian Hepburn Murphy who tapped home from two yards out, his fourth goal of the season.
Bromley had been second best in the opening 15 minutes but had a great chance to level the match when Omar Sowunmi headed a free kick over the bar from close range.
A nasty collision of heads between Bromley's Nickie Kabamba and the Dons keeper Craig MacGillivray saw the concussions substitutions come into use.
Outside of the goal, not many chances had come from either side and the away side were starting to continually give fouls away in dangerous positions, quite a risky thing to do against a Bromley side that have scored the most goals in League 2 from set pieces.
It was nearly a set piece that got Bromley on terms, a long throw headed towards goal by Michael Cheek and cleared off the line.
Right on half time, MK Dons should have made it 2-0 when the ball found it's way out to the left hand side again and was crossed in by Jon Melfish but Will Collar's sliding attempt saw him unable to get a touch to the ball.
MK Dons provided the key moment with the goal but outside of set piece situations, Bromley were unable to really create any sort of openings in the first half.
The Ravens had pinned back their opponents at the start of this second half but hasn't tested substitute keeper, Connal Trueman up to now.
The League Two set piece kings equalised in the 73rd minute thanks to a corner which was headed out as far as Brooklyn Illunga, his effort tapped over the line by Deji Elewere.
7 minutes later, it was another centre back which got in on the scoring for Bromley as Omar Somwunmi's header looped over Trueman and into the Dons net.
2-1 was the final score.
You could see the joy on the faces of the players and the fans at full time, it had been a while since they won a home game here so to do it against a high flying MK Dons will make it feel even sweeter.
