Bromley boss Andy Woodman insisted that his side got what they deserved after falling to a 2-1 defeat away to Cambridge United.
The Ravens conceded at either end of the first half, and a flat performance in between left them with a daunting hurdle to overcome in the second 45.
That second 45 turned into an hour as stoppages, including a lengthy injury to referee Declan Bourne, wreaked havoc on the game, preventing either side from performing at their best.
Speaking after the game, Woodman revealed his frustration about his side's performance and admitted that he would have made 11 substitutes if he could have.
"In the first half, we weren't at the races, let's be honest," Woodman said. "They ran all over us, we couldn't get a grip on anything, and we couldn't win a header or a second ball.
"Their tempo was quick all over the pitch, and we just couldn't cope, which was disappointing.
"We can look at the second half and say 'we had a go', and that's the positives, but we didn't really deserve much out of the game.
"I could have made 11 changes; if I had 11 players, I would have changed them [at half-time]. We just lacked physicality. They were powerful all over the place, and it was just one of those games.
"In the first half, it was a physical battle, and we weren't competing, and that's why I made the changes.
"We didn't really create enough [in the second half] to get the second goal, and maybe a few scrambles may have fallen for us on another day, but it wasn't meant to be."
