Andy Woodman claims September will be a crucial test of his Bromley side's promotion credentials.

The Ravens beat Harrogate Town 2-0 on Saturday, a result which saw them climb to third, their unbeaten Sky Bet League Two record still intact.

Despite being delighted with how his side are performing, Woodman is adamant that the next month will paint a clearer picture of how Bromley may fare this term.

Over the next month, Woodman's side will host both Gillingham and Chesterfield, the only two sides currently ahead of Bromley in the table.

"I'm hoping it [Bromley's unbeaten start in the league] does show intent, but we've got a big month coming up now," Woodman said.

"I think, at the end of this month, we'll know if we're really contenders [for promotion], and it's still very early.

"[In the next month] we're playing all the teams with way bigger budgets than us, way bigger crowds, way bigger clubs, and I mean that respectfully.

"So I think that's when we've got to show up and show really what we're about."
