Bromley manager Andy Woodman was left to wonder what could have been for his Ravens side as his side let in what Woodman described as "two soft goals" in their 2-2 stalemate with Fleetwood Town.
Despite having created the majority of the chances throughout the match, a defensive error in the 93rd minute allowed a cross to reach Fleetwood substitute, James Norwood. After having his initial effort brilliantly stopped by Grant Smith, Norwood reacted quicker to tap home the leveller.
Woodman was very disappointed at the two goals his side conceded,
"We gave away two soft goals which was very unlike us."
"Set piece where we just lost the marker."
"The second goal Mitch (Pinnock) slips which happens, we didn't defend the cross very well and Grant (Smith) makes a brilliant save but they get the rebound."
Despite the Fleetwood goals, Woodman insists that Bromley should've killed the game off earlier with the amounts of numerous chances they had.
"We had enough chances to have been out of sight."
"We need to be a little bit more ruthless."
"We worked so hard to get it into those areas but we just need to kill teams off when we are on top."
However, the game didn't come without controversy as Bromley believed they should have been a given a stonewall penalty when the game was tied at 1-1, however the referee chose to award a free kick to Fleetwood, a decision that baffled Woodman.
"I really like the ref, I think he is a really nice bloke, that said please have the courtesy of looking at that decision again."
"In that moment it's hard , that said I didn't think there was an argument to get more of a clearer penalty than that."
"I've never seen a clearer penalty in my life and he ended up booking our player."
Despite the draw, the Ravens remain unbeaten.
Bromley's next game will now be on Tuesday away at Cheltenham Town.
