There is rarely a transfer window that passes without Wilfried Zaha being linked with a move away from Crystal Palace.

While he appears to be committed to the club and has a strong relationship with manager Patrick Viera, reports suggest he will wait until his deal runs out in the summer to decide whether to renew or to make a move.

This may force Palace’s hand to try and find a buyer in this window because the risk of losing their best player for nothing could outweigh his importance for the rest of the season.

Zaha is an academy graduate of the Eagles, appearing for them over 400 times, but has always been open about his ambition for a move to a big club after an unsuccessful stint at Manchester United.

Zaha, now 30 years old, is still attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in England, with Tottenham and Chelsea, as well as Juventus and Barcelona, all said to be monitoring the winger.

Fans were left decoding a now-deleted tweet in reply to a reporter who suggested he had missed his chance for a big move.

He said: "I actually don't know what's funnier, that jumper or the nonsense coming out his mouth."

Whether he took offence to the fact that he might not be able to attract a big club anymore, or the frustration of speculation following him through every transfer window, only he will know.

For now, Zaha is vital to this Crystal Palace team and he is well-loved at Selhurst Park.

The club sits in 12th place in the league and with a manager who seems to be building an exciting group of young players, Palace might just be the perfect place for Zaha.
