MARC GUEHI has earned fans at Tottenham Hotspur who are reportedly interested in signing the defender.

The former Chelsea defender joined Palace last summer and was an instant hit at Selhurst Park as he became a reliable member of Patrick Vieira's backline.

Guehi's form was so good for Palace that he was able to earn a call-up and first cap for England.

This consistent showcasing of ability has attracted suitors from across London as Tottenham's director of football Fabio Paratici is apparently a fan of the defender, according to The Athletic.

Athletic reporter Jack Pitt-Brook said on the Last word on Spurs Youtube channel: “So Guehi they really like. Paratici definitely really likes Marc Guehi.

“There is a guy that is young, English, homegrown, plays for England and he can play along the backline. He’s a fantastic player, and there’s a lot of upside to him.

“He has four years left on his Crystal Palace contract and Palace don’t get pushed around if someone wants their players, Palace have no incentive to sell him for anything short of crazy money, so the prospect of Spurs doing a deal with Palace for Guehi is basically zero.

“Maybe in two years’ time they can come back and negotiate, but I don’t think it’s possible, but they do definitely like him.”

The good news for Palace fans is that the club are in no rush to sell the 22-year-old and by the time Spurs get around to negotiating for him he could be worth a considerable amount of money.
