JOSH DAVISON has joined AFC Wimbledon on a permanent deal from the Addicks

The striker will link up with former manager Johnnie Jackson, after making 35 appearances and scoring six goals for Charlton.

The 22-year-old made his debut for the Addicks in 2019 when he played in the 2-2 draw against West Brom in the Championship.

Davison has spent a much of his time at Charlton out on loan, with stints at Woking, Forest Green Rovers and, most recently, Swindon Town for the second half of the 2021/22 season.

An Addicks statement read: "The club would like to thank Josh for his efforts over the past three years and wish him all the very best in his future career."

Speaking shortly after putting pen to paper on his three-year contract with the Dons, Josh said: “I’m buzzing to be here. I can’t wait to get started. I’ve always been attracted to the club because of it’s history.

“Johnnie Jackson has been good with me since I signed for Charlton as an 18-year-old. He knows how to get the best out of me.

“We want to try and get promotion and that was a big selling point for me. The stadium, the pitch and the stands are unreal.”
