JED WALLACE has praised Millwall defensive duo Shaun Hutchinson and Murray Wallace as among the best in the Championship.
The attacker, who has now left the club to join West Brom, believes that the pair are quite underated and should be considered to be some of the best in the division.
The duo formed a formidable pair last season and helped the club in their push for the Championship play-offs.
While he was still contracted to Millwall, at the Not Top 20 Pod live event in Leicester Square in May, Wallace said: “You only have to look at Shaun Hutchinson, I never see him hitting the list of best centre-halves.
"He’s easily in the top five centre-halves [in the division] and has been for the past five years.
“I never hear his name.
“Murray Wallace has been by far our player of the season.
“If the other Wallace was half as good as him, Millwall might have got in the top six.
“He was as good as anyone in the league this year. He was brilliant.”
Loanee Charlie Cresswell will be hoping to push the duo for a starting place in manager Gary Rowett's team.
