THREE goals for Zheng Zhi in January helped the China international captain be shortlisted for the Powerade Championship player of the month award.

Also nominated were Robbie Blake (Burnley), Joe Ledley (Cardiff City) and Dion Dublin (Norwich City) with the winner due to be announced on Monday night.

Zheng flew to Dubai after Saturday's match against Scunthorpe United to play for his country against Iraq in a World Cup qualifier tomorrow, but is being rushed back hopefully in time to face Crystal Palace on Friday.

PAULO Monteiro became Charlton's latest signing last Friday when the former Portugal under-21 defender signed a contract at The Valley until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old was a free agent after he parted company with Romanian side Farul Constanta and is due to play his second match for the reserves this afternoon against Millwall.

ALAN Pardew moved swiftly to secure a like-for-like replacement for departing midfielder Andy Reid on the final day of the January transfer window.

The Addicks boss was unable to hang on to club captain Reid, who left for Premier League Sunderland in a £4m deal.

But within hours, Fulham left-winger Lee Cook had arrived on loan for the rest of the season, joining versatile defender and midfielder Greg Halford, a loan recruit from the Black Cats.

TICKETS remain on sale to season-ticket holders and Red Card members with a previous purchase history for Friday's home league match against Crystal Palace (7.45pm).

Seats are priced £25 for adults, £15 for over-60s and under-21s and £10 for under-18s.

CHARLTON'S home match against Bristol City on March 4 will kick-off at 7.45pm, 15 minutes earlier than previously scheduled, as the club continues to trial earlier kick-off times.

An experiment at the Stoke City match at the end of January was hampered by traffic problems.

Tickets for the match against Bristol City are on general sale, along with the home match against Watford on February 16 (3pm), priced £20 for adults, £15 for over-60s and under-21s and £10 for under-18s.

SWINDON Town's under-18s will visit The Valley on February 19 (7pm) in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup after the Robins beat Middlesbrough 2-0 last week.

The fixture means a planned reserve game against Leyton Orient the previous day is likely to be rearranged.

There was no fixture for the under-18s last weekend, but they travel to Portsmouth on Saturday.

TICKETS for Charlton's next two away matches at Sheffield Wednesday on February 12 (7.45pm) and Blackpool on February 23 (3pm) are currently on general sale.

The price of seats starts from £17 for adults and £10 for under-16s.

He made his first start for the Bees in Saturday's 3-2 win against Mansfield Town.

The Kent-based magician is one of only 260 global members of an elite group and will be performing at the games against Preston on March 8, Wolves on March 29 and Coventry on May 4.
