EXETER CITY boss Matt Taylor is reportedly in the running for the manager position at The Valley.

Charlton are looking for the next manager to take over in the dugout after Johnnie Jackson left the club at the end of the season.

Taylor is now believed to be 'under consideration' to be Jackson's successor, according to London News Online.

The former Addicks centre-back has just won promotion with Exeter, finishing second place in League Two, winning 23 of the 46 league games.

Taylor was also nominated for manager of the month in April, the third time he has been nominated in a row, having won the award in February.

The 40-year-old made 53 times for the Charlton first team over a two-year period before he was released in 2013.
