In the last eight days, Welling have brought in a new manager and assistant and eight players.

Taylor Curren and Henry Burnett signed on loan from Maidstone United and Crawley Town respectively last week and watched Welling’s game with Bath City from the stand.

On that evening, Peter Taylor’s tenure as Welling manager was ended and Warren Feeney was appointed next day. He has brought in Craig Fagan as his assistant.

Curren played made his debut for the Wings on Tuesday night at Hampton and Richmond Borough alongside another new signing, Jamie Sendles-White. Ben Wells, midfield, who also made his debut that night, having previously been at Queens Park Rangers.

Further loanees are goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke from Reading, in for the rest of season, along with centre-back Ben Margetson and left midfielder Marcus Sablier both from Bromley.

Former Arsenal and Crystal Palace forward Alfie Matthews has also joined.Five players have left the Wings squad.

Arthur Penney has been recalled by Millwall. Also departing are club captain Olu Durojaiye, Kristian Campbell, Elliott Johnson, and D’sean Theobalds.

A comment on the Welling website the club states “We wish the best of luck to all our new signings and a big thank you to those departing.”
