ADDICKS striker Mason Burstow has been given permission to speak to a Premier League side.

The striker was reportedly subject to interest from Premier League clubs including Chelsea and now a bid has been accepted.

Burstow was left out of the Charlton squad to take on Portsmouth tonight as he discusses a move away from The Valley as was confirmed by manager Johnnie Jackson.

The 18-year-old striker has been in great form for Charlton this season having scored six goals and assisting two more in only 15 appearances in all competitions.

Speaking about Burstow earlier this month, Jackson said: “With every step up that he makes, he’s having an impact.

“So it’s fantastic for him because he’s a really humble young man who’s very respectful around the group.

“The lads respect him because of what he brings to the party and he deserves his place in the team. He deserved his start and now he’s rewarded us with a goal.”
