PALACE have been linked with a move to sign Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

The former Ajax star has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since his high-profile transfer two seasons ago.

The Dutchman is not entirely to blame for this as he has barely been given time on the pitch by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær and current boss Ralf Rangnick.

However, van de Beek's troubles at Manchester United could be about to have a break as Palace are interested in signing the midfielder on loan until the end of the season.

This is according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, both Crystal Palace and Valencia have enquired about the possibility of taking van de Beek on a six-month loan deal.

He tweeted: "Excl. Crystal Palace and Valencia have both asked for Van de Beek on loan. Donny wants to play, Ragnick reluctant to let him go but Palace will push.

"Man Utd are not accepting any loan with buy option proposal - they want Van de Beek to be in the team for season 22/23."

The move could be a chance for the 24-year-old to revitalise his career and get back to playing more regularly.

Although it is believed that Rangnick does not want to lose the midfielder permanently, so any deal would not include an option to buy.

A move for van de Beek could be an alternative to Aaron Ramsey.

The midfielder had been heavily linked with a move to Palace only for the club to reportedly drop out of the race to sign the Juventus player.
