LIONS star Jed Wallace has dismissed claims that he has refused to play amid transfer speculation suggesting he could be on his way out of the club.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest who beat Millwall on Saturday afternoon after a late goal from Lewis Grabban.

Wallace missed the game through injury as he suffered a minor setback in his return to action.

His absence led to speculation that he was refusing to play for the team and that he was trying to force a move away from the club.

Wallace however has denied these claims on Twitter.

He said: “I’ve played over 200 games for Millwall & never took that for granted.

“Would never ever refuse to play, I’ve just had a minor setback on my injury.

“I’m not a robot these things happen and I’m doing all I can to get back to playing ASAP.”

The 27-year-old has made 21 appearances in the Championship this season for the Lions and has scored five goals and assisted six more.

If manager Gary Rowett can get Wallace back fit he will be crucial to helping the team push for the playoff.

Wallace's contract expires at the end of the season and teams are hopeful of signing him on a cut-price deal.
