PALACE striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is starting to attract interest from elsewhere.
The striker is on loan at Palace from Bundesliga side Mainz but has not impressed since he joined in January 2021.
Mateta did score the winner against Millwall in the FA Cup on Saturday although it was his second goal in seven appearances in all competitions.
However, his time at Selhurst Park could be cut short as Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing the striker.
Palace do have the option to trigger an option to make Mateta's signing permanent but it does not look likely, leaving an opportunity for others to buy him.
RMC Sport reported that the Magpies have expressed an interest in signing Mateta.
Newcastle are looking to strengthen their squad as they battle against relegation.
FC Basel have also been linked with a move for the French striker.
