DERBY have signed Danny Mills on loan until the end of the season.
News Shopper reported yesterday how Alan Pardew would not be extending the former England international's stay in SE7 after his four-month loan ended last week.
Mills made 19 appearances during his second spell with the Addicks, although his stay was overshadowed by his controversial dismissal in what proved to be his final game against Hull on December 22.
Pardew confirmed Mills' disciplinary record had been a factor in his decision not to extend the right-back's stay and now the 30-year-old is joining the Premier League's basement side until the end of the season.
Derby boss Paul Jewell said: "His experience and versatility will be invaluable. He's a hardened battler and will be great in the dressing room.
"Danny has been playing at the highest level for a long time now, including a World Cup for England, so nothing will faze him."
