Millwall take on Nottingham Forest on Friday night with both sides having injury concerns.

Gary Rowett takes his men to the City Ground knowing his side need a win to keep the Lions’ faint hope of a play-off spot alive, while Sabri Lamouchi’s outfit look to cement a place in the top six.

On the back of their 1-1 draw with Bristol last Saturday, the Lions are five points adrift of sixth placed Preston.

Rowett confirmed there are still question marks over the fitness of midfield trio Ben Thompson, Ryan Leonard and Shaun Williams ahead of their trip to Nottingham.

“Thommo's not trained fully yet," he said in his pre-match press conference.

“Hopefully he will next week which will be positive.

“Again, we need to be patient, he's been out for a while.

"Lenny (Ryan Leonard) should train today, but one training session, one-and-a-half, before the game is a tough ask.

"Willo's (Shaun Williams) trained twice.

"We have to assess what we think is reasonable, what we think we need for the game.

“We'll have to make a call on that ahead of the game."

Rowett’s counterpart Lamouchi has confirmed he will be without key duo Samba Sow and Tiago Silva for the fixture which will be live on Sky Sports.

Sow has missed the last three games with a knee injury while Silva continues to recover from surgery following appendicitis.
