Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Brighton are reportedly tracking Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth.

According to Fotospor, the Premiership trio as well as AS Monaco are said to be interested in the forward who is impressing during a loan spell at Trabzonspor.

The Norwegian who joined Palace in 2018, had little chance to impress Roy Hodgson and was sent out on loan to Gent for the second half of last season before heading to Turkey in the summer.

Since joining Trabzonspor on a two-year loan deal, the 24-year-old has helped his side the top of Super Lig with 17 goals in 21 appearances.

His goalscoring stats are a stark contrast to the one League Cup goal Sorloth registered in 20 appearances for the Eagles.

It’s believed Trabzonspor have first choice to make the deal permanent at the end of the loan spell in 2021, and they can also opt to buy the international early in the next window.

If this were the case, they would be able to sell the forward on for a profit.

It was understood that Palace were ready to take a loss on the £9million they paid Midtjylland in 2018, but his form is expected to see the Eagles recoup their outlay with the number of teams interested.
