Charlton’s fixture against Blackburn Rover is a sell-out and person who can’t wait to see The Valley rocking is Lee Bowyer.

The Charlton manager has been credited by many with turning the Addicks fortunes around since taking the reins just over two year ago and feels the capacity crowd on Saturday will make a huge difference in their fight for survival.

With over 25,000 home fans expected to descend on SE7 for the club’s ‘Academy Day,’ Bowyer admitted he’s looking forward to it.

“It’s going to be great, last time it was sold out was the play-offs!”

“The place will be bouncing, it always is.

“Seeing it sold-out again shows how far the club’s come since I’ve been in charge.

“If you said we’ll be playing a Championship game at a full Valley when I took over, none of us would’ve dreamed that, but it shows the club’s moving forward.

“Every player wants to play in front of a full house, especially with our crowd who don’t stop singing from start to finish.

“I’m looking forward to it and the players are as well.”
