Here's how we rated Charlton's players in their 3-2 Boxing Day victory over Bristol City.

Dillon Phillips - 6 - Andreas Weimann's header for the equaliser was a good one, right into the far corner beyond his reach, but he was poor for the second goal. He tried to block the shot with his foot, but missed, as it went straight through him.

Adam Matthews - 6 - Fended off Famara Diedhiou after a ball was dangerously hooked deep into Charlton territory before helping set up the opening goal. Saw his inviting cross into Bonne cleared away in the nick of time by Tomas Kalas.

Tom Lockyer - 6 - Too slow in tracking Weimann for the equaliser. The striker had a good yard or two on him, and once the cross was launched in it was too late. That was the main criticism of his afternoon but otherwise performed well.

Darren Pratley - 7 - Took the captain's armband and slotted into a back three with Sarr and Lockyer. Patrolled the heart of the defence and threw himself into everything. Did not look out of place.

Naby Sarr - 6 - Was quite impressed with how he defended against Diedhiou but was disappointing for the second goal. Why was he so square to the ball?

Alfie Doughty - 7 - Had a couple of bright moments, and some less so, but made an excellent run for the third goal. Should have had a goal on his birthday at QPR but has gifted himself a late Christmas present in this one. Replaced with Chris Solly.

Deji Oshilaja - 6 - He can excel as a holding midfielder in front of the back three but Bristol City gave him problems when they attacked. Passing was quite off at 60 per cent, according to WhoScored.

Conor Gallagher - 5 - His biggest moment was threading Lyle Taylor through on goal, only for Taylor Moore to scupper the chance. Taylor knew it was a good chance. Came off early in the second half with a hip injury. Replaced with Ben Purrington.

Albie Morgan - 7 - His assist for Bonne's first goal was superb and expertly timed but he was largely at fault for Eliasson's strike. Did not do enough to stop Adam Nagy in the build-up to it. Went off to a standing ovation when replaced with Jason Pearce.

Macauley Bonne - 10 - What a shift he put in, getting two goals and an assist against such strong opposition. Both goals were marvellous and took a lot of hard work to finish, he really came alive in the second 45 minutes. Man of the match.

Lyle Taylor - 7 - Provided the hold-up play and energy up top that Charlton have missed all this time while he was out injured. Bristol City boss Lee Johnson admitted both him and Bonne caused his side problems.
