Millwall’s Jed Wallace has turned heads with his performances recently and Friday night’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest was no different.
Already linked with a £10million move to Aston Villa next month, his first half display at The Den in front of the Sky Sports cameras will have done little to warn of admirers.
Picking up the Man of The Match award for his display he will no doubt attract more attention in January.
The 25-year-old dazzled with skill, pace and trickery in the first half and was at the heart of everything that was good for the Lions.
Despite a second half error which saw Lewis Grabban strike in the 87th minute before Aiden O’Brien saved his blushes, Wallace was the focus of much of the Sky Sports punditry team.
A little too much focus many fans would were keen to point out.
The Friday night fixture was featured live on Sky Sports where Don Goodman and Andy Hinchcliffe seemed to have irked some viewers with their praise for Wallace.
Grabben could have come on tonight, scored 4 or 5 & Jed Wallace would still have got man of the match from the Sky commentary team #MFCvNFFC

Are you sure they weren’t taking about Jed Wallace? I’ve heard he’s a shoe in for next years ballon d’or! Sky sports told me!

I can't wait for the Sky Sports Gold offering in ten years from @SkyFootball titled '2019: The Year Millwall ace Jed Wallace was robbed of the Ballon d'Or'. Alan Parry, Andy Hinchcliffe, Don Goodman and Steve Morison analyse why Messi so cruelly pipped him to the post... 👀 #NFFC

A few things from tonight. The formation didn't suit us in the first half, it was obvious Semedo hasnt had much football, Mir is a waste of time, we need another winger to replace Uncle Albert, Sky TV fucking hate us and Jed Wallace is jesus apparently #nffc

What’s Sky’s obsession with Millwall ffs. Worst support in the Championship and you’d swear Jed Wallace is Jarrod Bowen.
— Rossi (@Rossi16_) December 6, 2019How most people see jed Wallace vs how sky sports see Jed Wallace 😍 #NFFC #UREDS pic.twitter.com/03jYMWkFfz
