Crystal Palace will do battle with fierce rivals Brighton during the January transfer window according to reports.

According to sources both clubs are chasing the signature of Slovan Bratislava keeper Dominik Greif.

Scouts from both sides were sent to Slovakia earlier this month to watch the shot-stopper who has impressed in the Europa League this season.

His potential was at the fore in a recent trip to the Molineux where he was the stand out performer for the visitors as he kept Wolves at bay until the 90th minute with a string of fine stops as well as a penalty save from Ruben Neves.

Current Palace number one Vicente Guaita has become a fan favourite at Selhurst Park this season, cementing his place is Roy Hodgson’s starting XI with a sublime start to the campaign.

Wayne Hennessey has had to make do with life on the bench but any arrival between the sticks could hasten a departure and end his five year stay at the club with the Welsh international thought to be getting increasingly frustrated with watching on from the sidelines.
