Crystal Palace’s Dougie Freedman is reportedly keen to land the Hearts managerial job.
The Eagle’s Sporting Director is on a short-list of four names including Felix Magath, Billy Davies and Graham Alexander to succeed Craig Levein at Tynecastle.
Freedman, 45, who has managed at Palace, Bolton and Nottingham Forest was favourite to land the job when it was last available in 2017, but opted to take up his current role at Selhurst Park.
According to The Daily Record however, the former Scottish international’s stance has changed and he is ready to take the top job after two years as Palace’s Sporting Director.
Another strong candidate is that of former Burnley midfielder Alexander, who is currently in charge of League Two side Salford City.
