Here's how the Charlton players rated in their 2-1 defeat at bristol City.

Dillon Phillips 8

Horribly sliced his first clearance which never eases the nerves but made a great punching clearance from a wicked cross. Second half produced a string of saves which belong in the Champions League. Name a better shot stopper in the division…I’ll wait.

Deji Oshilaja 7

Doesn’t offer much going forward and was solid defensively bar one occasion when Diedhiou got in behind to prod nod the equaliser.

Tom Lockyer 7

Just loves defending. Back in familiar surroundings the Welshman coped with the occasional crowd booing and more importantly the Robins’ attack with gusto. Put his head in places you wouldn’t put a searchlight on a rescue mission.

Jason Pearce 8

Like his defensive partner relished the challenge and galvanised his side when injuries struck. On the end of some cunning dark arts from the Bristol attack which would’ve riled many.

Jake Forster-Caskey 6

Looked impressive and read the game well at left back until injury struck the luckless midfielder down.

Josh Cullen 7

Possibly the most influential of the middle three as he kept ticking the game over and cutting out a dangerous and pacey Robin attack.

Sam Field 6

Looked physical and commanded the midfield until injury forced an early withdrawal.

Beram Kayal 7

Got himself a silly early booking which meant he walked a tightrope from then on. With the ball looked calmness personified and made the right pass more often than not.

Conor Gallagher 7

A quiet game by the starlet’s standards but did the hard graft in the centre of the park that would’ve pleased Bowyer more than anything.

Jonathan Leko 7

Charlton outlet and caused problems in behind the Robins defence with his speed. His erratic nature however frustrates as much as it excites.

Macauley Bonne 8

The improvement from the player at the start of the season to now is incredible. His hold up play, his link up and his defending from the front was as good as any this season.

SUBS:

Darren Pratley 7

Like for like for the unfortunately injured Sam Field and slotted in nicely to the midfield.

Chris Solly 6

Asked to play left back for the luckless JFC and produced another solid display, as you’d expect.

Chuk Aneke 5

Stood up top but offered little.
