Lee Bowyer hopes Charlton talisman Lyle Taylor will be fit enough to face Birmingham City after he picked up a knock on international duty with Montserrat.
The striker featured in their 2-1 CONCACAF Nations League win against the Dominican Republic but missed their clash with Saint Lucia a few days later.
Bowyer said Taylor, who has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for August, will be in training tomorrow (September 13) but remains hopeful he will play on Saturday.

He said: “Lyle came back with a bit of a knock. We’ve put him in a brace which is just a precaution, but we’ll be looking to get him back out on the pitch tomorrow.
“Hopefully he comes through that okay and be available for Saturday.”
