Voting for Crystal Palace’s Player of The Month for August has started although fans already believe it’s a foregone conclusion.
Roy Hodgson’s men backed up their league victory against Manchester United last week with a hard-fought 1-0 home win against Aston Villa on Saturday to go fourth in the league.
Many have put the change in fortunes from a drab opening day draw with Everton and a 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United in the opening two fixtures to two back-to-back wins down to one man.
Jordan Ayew.

Voted Man of The Match in each of his three starts, the Ghanaian scored the only goal against Villa and notched at Old Trafford to already surpass last season’s league goals haul.
The turnaround in opinion towards the forward who arrived from Swansea in the summer for a reportedly modest fee of £2.5million has been extreme.
Such is the form of the man leading the Palace line at present he’s been deemed un-droppable and is a clear favourite to win Palace’s fan-voted monthly gong.
Got hold up my hands up, when we signed Ayew I moaned but he’s proving me wrong and long may it continue. The 3 games he’s played he’s been excellent and without a doubt Palaces August player of the month. 🔴🔵 #cpfc

Jordan Ayew has won everyone over with sheer force of will, but it’s his ability that is shining through at the moment as much as the workrate. Absolute bargain and the makings of a cult hero at #cpfc

Loving the passion Jordan Ayew is showing at #cpfc at the minute. Hope it continues. 🔴🔵🔴🔵

I will be the first to admit that I was skeptical of Ayew being the front man and thought we would struggle. He has been awesome in his three starts and I love him. He loves Palace and works his butt off. Is it too soon to call him our best ST ever? #CPFC
