Tomer Hemed's move to Charlton has been made official.

The Israeli moves to The Valley from Brighton and Hove Albion, penning a one-year deal.

It was hoped the move would've been completed on deadline day but complications with the deal required the FA and the EFL to look into the paperwork and the timing of the deal submitted regarding the 32-year-old.

Lee Bowyer's 14th signing has a wealth of Championship experience having scored 13 goals for the Gulls in their promotion winning campaign in 2016/17, as well as netting seven goals for QPR during his loan spell last season.

“I’m really pleased we’ve been able to get this deal done," Bowyer told CAFC.

"Signing Tomer gives us another option up front, something different to what we already have.

"I’m looking forward to working with him.

"I’d like to thank Dan Ashworth and Brighton & Hove Albion for the part they’ve played in getting this deal done.”

He’ll join former Brighton and Maccabi Haifa teammate Beram Kayal at the club following the midfielder’s arrival on loan at The Valley earlier this month.

Hemed is set to train with his new teammates for the first time on Tuesday and is available to play immediately.
