Here's how we rated Crystal Palace's players in their defeat to Sheffield United.
Vicente Guaita - 7 - Made some important saves as the Blades repeatedly tested him. McGoldrick should have done better with his chance but the goalkeeper still did well.
Joel Ward - 5 - Became embroiled in a VAR incident when he was adjudged to handballed in the penalty area. Lost his man for the goal and just didn't look comfortable. Was a bit fortunate with that high foot on McBurnie.
Martin Kelly - 6 - Relatively average performances from both him and Dann. Had a couple of scary moments but pulled through.
Scott Dann - 6 - What has been said of Kelly can most likely be repeated here. Nothing too special.
Patrick van Aanholt - 5 - Opposite number George Baldock was a handful for him down his left flank as he whipped in dangerous crosses. Not very effective going forward.
Luka Milivojevic - 6 - Sitting at the base of midfield is not easy, let alone with marauding defenders coming at out. Dealt with the pressure well.
James McArthur - 6 - Both he and Milivojevic had their work cut out with United's overlapping centre backs getting forward frequently. Had a handball appeal against him dismissed. Replaced with Conor Wickham late on.
Max Meyer - 5 - Largely ineffective for the first-half and didn't provide too much of a creative spark in attack. Replaced with Jeffrey Schlupp past the hour mark.
Andros Townsend - 5 - Forced a decent save out of Henderson early on but, otherwise, found himself having to double-up with Ward down the right side more than attacking the opposition defence. Replaced with James McCarthy on 80 minutes.
Wilfried Zaha - 5 - This was the talisman's first Premier League start of the season. He kept running into cul-de-sacs and was subdued very well by the United defence.
Christian Benteke - 6 - His strength and presence helped to win Palace crucial free-kicks in United's own third. Had a shot on goal early on but not much after that.
