Charlton announced the signing of Beram Kayal late on Thursday and it's fair to say the Addicks faithful were happy with how the day panned out.
Kayal arrived on loan from Brighton hours after the club announced Jonathan Leko and Sam Field's loan arrivals from West Bromwich Albion.
Charlton managed to get five loan signings through before the window closed, with Josh Cullen(West Ham) and Conor Gallagher(Chelsea) arriving in the past week.
There was also a sigh of relief that star-man Lyle Taylor was still at the club after the 7pm deadline.
It was reported the club rejected four bids from cash-laden Brentford for the forward.
Operating with the lowest budget in the league, the quality of the signings made by Lee Bowyer and Head of Recruitment Steve Gallen surprised even the most optimistic of Addicks fans.
Kayal's signing in particular lifted the excitement levels amongst the supporters.
Things could get better too for the Addicks fans as they wait to hear if the signing of Kayal's former Brighton teammate, Tomer Hemed, went through before the window closed.
