Victor Camarasa’s move to Crystal Palace is in doubt after Burnley entered the race to sign the midfielder.

Reports suggest the Real Betis man was due to land in London on Monday to finalise a loan move to Selhurst Park, but Sean Dyche’s interest has caused a ‘blockage to the negotiation,’ reports Diario de Sevilla.

Palace, with Steve parish and Roy Hodgson’s blessing had agreed to sign off on the £1million loan fee with the possibility of buying the midfielder who spent last season at Cardiff City permanently for £10million if certain conditions were met.

Palace scout Dougie Freedman tracked the Spaniard and visited Seville to push through a deal for the 25-year-old but the Clarets interest will play into the Spanish side’s hands as the asking price will surely rise.

Burnley’s interest has delayed the signing and Camarasa has since re-joined his Betis teammates in Morocco as negotiations continue.

Cahill move nearer?

Another much talked about arrival at Selhurst Park is that of Gary Cahill.

The 33-year-old free-agent has had a number of offers from Premiership sides but Palace look to be leading the way by meeting his wage demands, thought to be £75,000 a week.

West Ham, Burnley and Aston Villa were all reportedly keen on the former Chelsea and England man, but favouring a stay in London, Selhurst Park looks to be his preferred option.

One name that has departed South London is Alexander Sørloth.

The £9million signing joins Turkish club Trabzonspor on loan until the end of the 2020/21 season.

It’s though the deal could become permanent if Sorloth plays more than 50 percent of their games in the Super Lig and Europe, then a mandatory buying clause of €6m will be activated.
