Two first-half goals in as many minutes saw Charlton take a huge step towards the League One play-off final on Sunday.

Goals from Lyle Taylor and Joe Aribo gave the Addicks a 2-1 win over Doncaster at the Keepmoat Stadium in their semi-final first leg clash.

Matty Blair pulled one back for the hosts late on, but Lee Bowyer's men held on for the win.

Here is how News Shopper rated Charlton’s players…

Dillon Phillips - 7 - Made a fine save to deny James Coppinger from range with the scores level. His distribution keeps on improving.

Krystian Bielik - 7 - Dropped into a back-three today and didn't look out of place. Went into midfield after Jason Pearce came on in the second-half. His passing is immaculate.

Patrick Bauer - 8 - Handled John Marquis extremely well and did not give him a sniff in front of goal. Won all of his aerial battles, too.

Naby Sarr - 7 - Justified his manager’s decision to pick him ahead of captain Pearce. Sarr put in another faultless performance.

Anfernee Dijksteel - 6 - Gave Charlton plenty of energy on the right-hand side.

Josh Cullen - 7 - Another tidy midfield performance from the West Ham loanee. Rarely lost the ball.

Albie Morgan - 8 - After a quiet opening 30 minutes, the 19-year-old sprung into life. His cross led to Taylor’s opener, before his clever pass picked out the striker, who played in Aribo for the second.

Joe Aribo - 7 - Took his goal well and continues to thrive in a more advanced midfield role. Charlton need to get him tied down soon.

Ben Purrington - 6 - Malik Wilks gave him a hard time in the league fixture here in March, but that wasn’t the case today. He marshalled the Leeds loanee brilliantly, minimising his impact.

Josh Parker - 6 - Worked extremely hard off the ball for his team and went close to scoring twice.

Lyle Taylor - 8 - A goal and an assist for Charlton’s talisman. He never gave the Doncaster defence a moment’s rest. It is still astonishing to think how he was left out of the League One Team of the Year. Man of the match.
