Player ratings from Millwall’s 2-1 defeat to Bristol City.

David Martin 6

Had little to do apart from pick the ball out of the ball of the net. Not sure he could’ve done anything for both goals. They were expertly taken.

James Meredith 6

Misjudged a couple of high balls but showed bite and desire in a game that Millwall could’ve strolled through.

Jake Cooper 6

Unlucky with a header that hit the post and dealt well with the physical Diedhiou for 80minutes. Bristol were clinical when clear-cut chances came their way.

Alex Pearce 7

Solid as ever and will be Neil Harris’s first bit if business this summer I’m sure.

Mahlon Romeo 7

One of Millwall’s bets players this season and he showcased why again. An outlet in attack and was always available on the touchline. Handled Paterson well.

Shane Ferguson 6

His time at left back has improved the winger’s defensive play and offered Meredith great cover. That said you can see how much he likes getting forward, although his delivery could’ve been better.

Ryan Tunnicliffe 7

Played wide right and saw the ball less than usual, but that said his workrate is something to admire. Offered Romeo plenty of support in defence. Team player.

Shaun Williams 5

Shielded the back four well and limited Bristol to few clear chances. Dictated the play when Millwall were on the ball, but will rue a costly missed penalty. 5

Ryan Leonard 6

Another accomplished performance in the middle from the former Blade. Showed glimpses of pace too down which was a surprise. Relieved pressure with the ball with success. 6

Steve Morison 6

Took a nasty looking bump to the head early on but he shook it off and was a nuisance in the air throughout. Won nearly every flick-on and it was a matter of time before it fell to a blue shirt.

Lee Gregory 8

Showed the Den what they could be missing next season if reports are to be believed. Excellent finish. Run tirelessly throughout as we’ve come to expect. Star man.
