Individual achievements don’t exist according to Lee Bowyer after he became the quickest Charlton Manger to amass 100 points since 1982.

A 4-0 victory over Scunthorpe at The Valley on Easter Monday saw the Charlton boss achieve the feat in 54 games, three quicker than Chris Powell and 13 sooner than Alan Curbishley.

The real prize however is promotion to the Championship says Bowyer, a target that could be hit in the next five games.

“It’s not just me, it’s my whole team,” a modest Bowyer said.

“Coaches, Steve Gallen, (head of recruitment), players and fans.

“Everyone has a part to play, and they've played their part.

“I have the decision who plays, but the collective is very good.

“I’m happy, all the things we’ve been achieving this season is rewarding, and it all comes to where we want to get to, that’s promotion!”

The milestone won’t affect Charlton’s preparation for their remaining fixtures, Gillingham and Rochdale, as Bowyer is keen to add another six points to his century haul before the play-offs in a fortnights time.

“I want to do better, we could’ve had more points, but that’s me being who I am.

“I wan’t to win every game.

“I come in and try and work hard and try improve the players I ‘ve got.

“We are doing that and it’s there for everyone to see.

“I’m happy, but I’ll keep pushing myself and players.”
